Requirements

Open to kids, ages 1 to 18

To ensure the design can be printed clearly on shirts, please follow these guidelines:

  • Original hand-drawn artwork only
  • One color design
  • Marker only (black permanent marker recommended)
  • Family-friendly imagery
  • Artwork must keep within a 1:1 square format

How are submissions judged?
Designs will be reviewed by a small judging panel including:
  • Market Director
  • Market Manager
  • Representative from Timnath Internet
The judges will narrow entries down to three finalist designs, and one final design will be selected as the 2026 t-shirt artwork by public vote on social media. Judging criteria include:
  • Creativity and originality
  • Representation of the theme “Connecting Our Community”
  • Clarity and suitability for shirt printing
  • Family-friendly imagery

How do I submit a design?
  1. Download the template OR use your own paper.
  2. Create your design following the requirements above.
  3. Take a clear, high-quality photo or scan of the artwork.
  4. Submit your design through the online form.

What does the contest winner receive?
The winning designer will receive:
  • One free 2026 Timnath Farmers Market t-shirt
  • Recognition on the market website and social media
  • Recognition at the opening market of the season

Who can participate in the design contest?
The contest is open to kids and youth ages 1–18. We especially encourage submissions from:
  • Students
  • Local artists
  • Community members
  • Families and homeschool groups
No previous art experience is required — creativity is what matters most.

Original Work

All submitted artwork must be original and created by the participant. Designs may not copy or trace existing artwork, logos, or copyrighted images.

Ownership & Use

By submitting artwork, participants grant the Timnath Farmers Market permission to reproduce, modify, and use the design for promotional materials, merchandise, and marketing related to the market.

The market may adjust the artwork for print quality if needed.

Parental Permission

Participants under age 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to submit artwork.

A parent or guardian may be asked to confirm consent if the design is selected.

Image Usage

The Timnath Farmers Market may photograph or feature the winning artist and artwork in promotional materials.

Design Modifications

Minor design adjustments may be required for printing purposes.

Eligibility

Participants must be residents of Timnath or surrounding Northern Colorado communities.

Disqualification

Entries may be disqualified if they:

  • Do not follow design requirements
  • Contain inappropriate imagery or language
  • Include copyrighted or trademarked material
