Timnath Farmers Market operates a community-supported, sustainable farmers market that provides a platform for local commerce, civic engagement, stewardship and placemaking.

Community first

We exist to serve the Northern Colorado community. Every decision prioritizes inclusivity, accessibility, and creating a space where neighbors feel welcome and connected.

Support for local makers

We champion Northern Colorado farmers, growers, makers, and small businesses by providing a fair, transparent, and supportive marketplace for local commerce.

Sustainability in stewardship

We value responsible practices that care for our land, our people, and our shared spaces; supporting sustainable agriculture, reducing waste, and honoring our historic setting.

Belonging through placemaking

We believe farmers markets are more than transactions – they are gathering places. We intentionally create an environment that encourages connection, joy, and a strong sense of place.

Collaboration and partnerships

We work collaboratively with vendors, community organizations, downtown businesses, and local leaders to strengthen the market and the town as a whole.

Integrity with fairness

We operate with transparency, fairness, and consistency, building trust with vendors, partners, and the community we serve.

More Than A Market

We envision Timnath as a thriving, connected community where local food, local businesses, and local relationships are celebrated; and where the farmers market serves as a cornerstone of community life, economic resilience, and civic pride.

Our Story

Rooted in Tradition. Growing With Purpose.

Timnath’s early 1900s Main Street was once a bustling center of commerce.

A place where farmers, merchants, and neighbors gathered to exchange goods and build relationships. Over time, that tradition faded, and for nearly a century, the town no longer hosted a farmers market.

On June 10, 2018, that tradition was revived.

What began as a modest gathering of ten vendors across three summer Sundays was rooted in a simple idea: create a space where local farmers, small businesses, artists, and neighbors could once again come together.

Starting in its first year, the market is community-driven — intentionally focused on supporting local commerce and strengthening connections. Through changing seasons and challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the market adapted and endured.

Under the continued stewardship of the CF&G Public Market team, the Timnath Farmers Market has steadily grown in both participation and impact.

We have proudly expanded from three summer dates to a full seasonal schedule, increased vendor participation to dozens of Colorado-based businesses, added family activities, food trucks, and nonprofit partnerships, and most importantly – Welcomed thousands of community members to gather together.

Throughout all the growth, the mission remains the same: create a welcoming gathering place that supports local commerce and strengthens Timnath and Northern Colorado.

Today, the Timnath Farmers Market stands as both a revival and a renewal — honoring the town’s historic roots while cultivating a sustainable, connected future.

This is where community happens.
